Lancashire Meat Cooking Guidelines

Whether you're cooking beef, lamb, pork, gammon, or chicken our cooking guide gives you all the information you require to cook the perfect dish. 

Beef

Roast in a pre heated oven at 180°C for:

Category Time Internal Temperature
Rare 20 mins per 450g (1lb) + 20mins 60°C
Medium 25 mins per 450g (1lb) + 25mins
70°C
Well Done 30 mins per 450g (1lb) + 30mins
80°C

Lamb

Roast in a pre heated oven at 180°C for:

Category Time Internal Temperature
Medium 25 mins per 450g (1lb) + 25mins
70-75°C
Well Done 30 mins per 450g (1lb) + 30mins
75-80°C

Pork

Roast in a pre heated oven at 180°C for:

Category Time
Medium 30 mins per 450g (1lb) + 30mins
Well Done 35 mins per 450g (1lb) + 35mins

Gammon

Use the above guidelines as for pork to roast.

Or boil for half the time and get a crispy finish by roasting for the remainder!

Chicken

Roast at 200°C for required time:

Unstuffed 25 mins per 450g (1lb) + 20 mins
