Acceptable Weight Variation

When you place an order with us, it will be for a nominal weight of produce, at a specified price, and we will collect your payment when placing the order.  Because orders are prepared individually, it can be expected that there may be some small variation in weights above or below the weight you chose, and it is impractical for us to process small refunds or to request additional payments. 

We will ensure that this variation never exceeds more or less than 10% of any item specified.  Items delivered within this 10% variation will be deemed as a complete and correct order.

Can I freeze my meat?

Yes. All of our products available are suitable for freezing and can be popped straight into the freezer in the packaging they are delivered in.

Can I order online for self collection?

Yes. If you order online for self collection from the shop there will be no charge for packaging costs. Please bring a copy of your order with you when you come to collect.

How do I place an order?

Ordering your delicious delights from couldn’t be simpler. Whether you are a novice or a regular online shopper, these easy steps will help to guide you on your way to receiving your order of quality meat from The Hindquarter.

1. Pick your perfect products.

We have grouped all our products into easy to browse catagories such as sausages, beef, pork and lamb. Or if you know exactly what you are looking for, you can enter a word or phrase into the search box at the top right of the page.

2.  Filling your basket.

To add an item to your basket simply click on the “ADD TO BASKET” button. You can see how many items are in your basket and the total cost (excluding delivery) at any time on the right navigation of each page.

3. Checkout

When you have finished shopping click on “Checkout” and you will be taken to your order summary. Here you will have the opportunity to amend your order.

4. Register or Login

You will now need to register if you are a new customer, or login if you are an existing customer. New customers will need to enter their personal details, and create a password to be used for any future orders.

5. Billing Address / Delivery Address

Please enter your billing address, this will need to be the payment card holders address. You can enter a different delivery address if required in the “special delivery instructions “ section.

6. Delivery Method

Select your delivery instructions from the drop down menu. 

7. Payment Details

You will now need to enter your payment details to complete your order. You will then have a final chance to review and amend your order before payment is taken.

How long will my meat keep for?

Each order will be packed in special cooling packaging which ensures the product remains at the correct temperature for at least 48 hours. We send out all suitable products vacuum packed, a natural way to keep meat fresher for longer. If this is not possible due to the nature of the product, it will be packed in a tray and overwrapped. All our products will have a best before date on. Once you have received your goods please ensure they are kept refrigerated until you are ready to use them.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery is FREE for orders over £150 in value. 

Other orders are all charged at a flat rate of £12.00. 

For local deliveries within the Hambleton, Preesall, Knott End, Pilling, Out Rawcliffe & Stalmine, we are able to offer a delivery charge of £5.00 or free for orders over £30. 

You can also choose to collect any size of order yourself from our shop in Knott-End, without any packing or delivery charge.

How will my order be delivered?

Local deliveries will me made by us. Nationwide deliveries will be made by courier. All packages must be signed for, if you cannot be certain that the parcel will be signed for at home, we recommend that you specify an alternative delivery address in the “Special Instructions” box (for example name & address of place of work, or a neighbour). If such information is provided the courier will be informed.
